The Designer
A Toronto native, I moved to London to pursue an education at Fanshawe College. I have completed my first year in the Graphic Design program and am looking
forward to what the next two years will bring. I find the program to be both challenging and extremely rewarding.
I have always had an interest in web design and spent a number of years dabbling in Photoshop, Flash and HTML before deciding to get a formal education. I’m a quick
adopter of new languages and technology and love the challenges of this multidisciplined and constantly evolving field.
I have a natural inclination to design that is minimalistic. I believe that the content of the project should be the primary focus and any additional element should serve
a complimentary function.
The Athlete
Since 1993, I have been an Inline Speed Skater. My sport was once unknown in most of North America, but it is slowly gaining populairty and exposure as a lot of
our athletes have begun competing at the Winter Olympics . . . and winning.
I have represented Canada at two World Championships (2005: China, 2006: Korea) and my sponsor, Schankel, in the World Inline Cup (2007: Switzerland). After
returning from Europe in 2007, I created the amature race team Schankel Canada. I have been managing the team since that date and hope to conintue the success
we have experienced over the last few years.
