Falling
Abstract

My initial idea behind the piece was to create something that had a long vertical flow. The idea of a falling motion seemed to be a natural fit with the dimensions I'd chosen.

I think the girl in the picture is falling from one world into the next; though which is better I'm not sure.

ONE TWO THREE
Light and Shape

I'd seen a tutorial describing how to break apart a vector shape and distorting it to create an interesting effect.

This spiraling shape is created by breaking down the words "ONE", "TWO", and "THREE" and then pulling apart the elements. Once I had the shape I felt like there was soemthing more that I needed to do and eventually this was the result.

Perspective and Painting

For a while I had wanted to try creating a piece that felt a little less digital in it's presentation. I decided that I would try painting using Photoshops brushes in addition to a few set images.

The only thing that I knew for certain was that I wanted there to be a vanishing point and feeling or perspective about the piece.
